first of all, my deepest apologies for leaving this question unanswered for two days. truth be told, i saw it the moment it arrived, but i found myself wondering what the most proper way to answer would be.
of course, you are allowed to adore me, cherish me, or even like me. there is nothing wrong with that, and i would never hold it against you. affection, after all, is one of the most sincere things a person can offer.
however, i hope you understand that i do not owe anyone those feelings in return. admiration should never become an expectation, and kindness should never be mistaken for a promise. if you choose to like me, let it be because you genuinely wish to, not because you are hoping for something back—still, i hope we can be a good friends ♡
