i don’t think i ever truly let go or made peace with it. i just got used to it—used to holding the pain on my own, used to thinking maybe i was the problem. i’m not stuck on the feelings anymore. i’ve moved on from that. there’s no love or hope left for them. but sometimes, it still hurts. not because i miss them, but because i never got closure. no real explanation, no sincere apology, no sign of regret—just silence. but it’s okay. maybe that’s just how some people choose to leave. i’m still learning to accept things i’ll never understand, and maybe that’s enough for now.
