Can you share your process of thinking while writing if youre comfortable? im a new writer. if you have tips or things you do before planning your fics... it will.be helpful only if you want to. I love your fics!

idk if im the best person to give writing tips but i read A LOT, books manga manhwa literally anything i can get my hands on and that’s helped immensely with understanding character dynamics, back and forth dialogue, knowing when im overdescribing details or overwriting (this was SO hard to unlearn) and making conversations feel natural (at least to me ><)

i’ve also always had a pretty overactive imagination so like clockwork before i write i’ll do any stress free chore that lets me think (its almost always cleaning my room or cooking). then pick a theme or take a preexisting inspo from stuff i’ve read and build my fic. i’ll figure out how i want characters to sound, their quirks, how they act etc then i’ll think up specific lines or interactions i want in my story and let it play out in my head. this helps SO much. when i was writing YJTGTBT all i had was homophobic comphet x gay premise and the line “you disappoint me”

then before my fish brain forgets i’ll dump all of it into my notes along with wtv else i make up. once i have enough of an idea i start the rough draft and write the actual story from there

obv everyone has their own process and this is just what works for me but i think the biggest thing is just start somewhere and keep doing it. you get better as you go. goodluckk <333
