actually yes. we haven’t really written it but we’ve talked about it between us. i feel awkward writing actual korean in, so if they are speaking korean, it’ll just say “he says in korean” so you won’t miss it. i think tae will speak to him in korean, or like say phrases under his breath lol, like he’ll call him annoying affectionately, or he’ll use 야. i think he has typical korean mannerisms and exclamations. i can’t speak for other kids that grew up in their home country and then moved aboard, so tae’s experience is just inspired by my experience moving as a teenager. i speak english because it’s easier for other people, and ive lived here long enough that i don’t even think abt it anymore, so its the same for him. i think he speaks in a weird mix of konglish with all their friends, and korean with joon mostly. jk has def gone to korea sometime these past few years and expressed more interest in meeting family there and getting in touch with his roots. i don’t know that he’s had much time to study the language independently like seriously, but he has been making more of an effort to practice. he’s pretty good, he’s just shy lol. he’s definitely learned a lot from tae. they’ll be a bilingual household, and it’s something that’s important to him, even though he didn’t grow up with this expectation
