hhhh I've had this idea rotting away in my ellipsus drafts for soo long so I'm gonna volley it here because I've been thinking about it again recently lol😭 but imagine kitty hybrid Jsvng who's got a deformity in his vocal chords (?) that causes his purrs to come out weird. It gets so bad and he's so insecure about it he stops purring altogether. Until he meets Mnho, who is nothing but sweet and loving to him and has never said anything remotely mean to Jsvng. But he's still so scared and worried he'll drive Mnho away once the other man does hear him purr. On the flip side, Mnho is also worried cause they've been dating for a while now and Jsvng has yet to start purring, so he thinks he must be doing something wrong, wonders if his Jsvngie is sick and he hasn't noticed yet. And obviously, because he cares about and loves Jsvng, he asks about it, leaving him with no other option but to confess. Mnho assures him over and over that he doesn't mind and that he loves Jsvng way too much to change his mind about it over something so trivial. I'd like to imagine the first time Mnho hears Jsvng purring is when they're both cuddled up in bed, all sleepy, soft and comfortable, Mnho kisses Jsvng and he can't hold back the small rumble that escapes him. From that moment on, Mnho is positively obsessed with his sweet little purrs and trills and tries everything in his power to make him never stop. Safe to say he finds some oddly creative ways to achieve that…
I LOVE this!!! sorry i took so long to reply, i wanted to expand on it more but you've done such a good job already!! 😭i imagine it'd be kind of choppy and raspy and he's so embarrassed it's not the soft, gentle sound everyone expects 🥺 but when mnho first hears it, he's so shocked THIS is what jsng didn't want him to hear?? to him it's so cute and not even just because anything jsng does is cute in his opinion. that first time he doesn't say anything, scared of scaring jsng in case he hasn't realized, just kisses him more and cuddles him a little bit tighter that night <3 but then jsng goes back to not purring and by a week later mnho's desperate to hear the adorable sound again.... he starts touching him even more than usual, finding new spots and ways to touch that he somehow has never tried before. like rubbing under jsng's chin or around the back of his ears like cats tend to love and when another purr slips out before long, he's quick to praise it this time and coo over how precious jsng is <3
ALSOO realistically, if his purr is affected then his voice would be too probably? talking is unavoidable so he deals with it better than the purring, but maybe he feels self-conscious talking much around people until he gets comfortable with them, so mnho notices that as their relationship continues jsng goes from being pretty quiet to yapping A LOT and ofc he loves it so much<333
