Hello I also have a writing question. I am a new writer and I have like a bunch of WIPs in my notes but I don’t know how to end them all…like the confession scene. They all look or feel the same to me. Do you have any tips on how to change things up?

Hi!! <3
I can give you some tips yes! I will preface this by saying that I am by no means professional, so do with this whatever feels right to you! I am just giving tips/suggestions!

What you can try to do to change things up is to try to pinpoint what the important parts of your fics are: does it have a specific setting like royalty or fantasy? what are the things your characters struggle with or are there specific things they like? Try to incorporate other elements of your fic into the confession scene!
So for example, if one of your characters is insecure, you can prolong the confession bc the character doesn't believe the other yet, or have the character ask for assurance ("so you like me despite x?"). Or if a character really likes flowers, or smth else, have them or the other confess giving that! Or if previously in the fic something romantic happened, have the characters mention that or recreate that!
There are many small ways to make the confession scenes a bit different like that, and you can even add them as you edit/revise your fic!

Last thing I want to say is that it is normal and understandable to feel like everything you write is the same and I think many writers struggle with that, BUT that is okay! Many readers love reading the same thing over and over again (me too), and every writer has their own style and things that they love putting into fics, and it's okay if it's not always 100% original (that's impossible anyway).
In my eyes, even if you have the same confession scene in fics, it probably feels different because the rest of the fics are different, but it definitely doesn't hurt if you want to change it up!
Hopefully my tips can help you, and don't be too strict for yourself, bc writing is for fun! :D <3 good luck and have fun writing dear anon <33333
