hi evy poo!! do you have any tips on writing drabbles? mine tend to get so long :(( your drabbles are great and ily sm <3

Hi!! <333
Of course I can share some tips! I won't say that I am the best at keeping things short, and sometimes for drabbles it's okay to get carried away a little, but if you want to keep things short for a drabble I have a few things that I focus on myself:
1) Try to write only ONE scene! If you think you can't fit everything in one scene, try to keep the scenes short!
2) Skip all the backstory and introduction, and start writing in the middle of the action if you can! If not, try to keep the intro to a few sentences and/or keep the backstory and context to a few sentences scattered between the action.
3) Practice helps! And don't worry too much, it has to stay fun <3

I usually try to keep drabbles between 500-1k words, but there's not one set length (ignoring the "actual" definition of drabbles being exactly 100 words), and as I mentioned before, it's okay to get carried away, but I also think it's a skill to be able to keep things short (I'm still learning as well).
Hope this helps and I'm happy that you're enjoying the drabbles, thank you!!! <33333
