the situation is awful, but txt loves eachother as a Complete team, and bh has let far bigger scandals go w/o dropping idols, ESPECIALLY when it is not the idols fault. we have no reason to spiral.

I don’t understand how it’s so hard to consider that Kai’s situation and Soobin’s are two completely different things.

Kai’s accusations and “leak” were all totally legal, showed nothing explicit (or frankly anything beyond friendly), and he knew the entirely of the accusation was false—sure silence might’ve let it blow over, but commenting on it didn’t harm him either. no one else was identified or identifiable, so the ability to state the exact narrative without pushback was easy.

Soobin’s “leak” is a sex crime no matter how you look at it. Either it’s Ai deepfakes or it’s revenge porn—both illegal. there’s also, and again hate to speculate but for the sake of forming full scopes here, a chance that not Everything about soobin’s case is untrue. photos may be fake, but identity could be true. one photo could be real even if the others arent. if everything about it isn’t total fabrication, and frankly even if it is…that makes this more complex to outright deny, as the other party could double down if they feel cornered before they’re cut off. the last thing anyone needs is whoever made or took and leaked the photos to begin with to release MORE. and that’s a hard line to walk.

like at best, this is ai deepfakes, they have to ensure that’s true and find a way to make sure further images aren’t made. At worst it’s revenge porn, and they have to seriously go through legal hoops and organize everything in order to serve proper and damning lawsuits as well as make sure no further images are released.

we don’t know where these came from, but in either case the other party is at liberty to Continue Posting if they feel threatened while they still have everyone’s attention. minimizing that risk for soobin is an obvious priority over any comfort that fans want.
