hiii im sure you have probably have said this before, but can you share what your favorite things about junshua? JUNSHUA THESISSSSS
hi anon! i've talked about junshua quite a bit but not in a while like this, so happy to share some more thoughts! i chose a bullets that make up my personal junshua thesis, though i could probably elaborate a lot more.
junshua five favorite things:
1) emotionality – they express this side of themselves quite differently, but i think that they are both very emotionally grounded people makes for a really attractive relationship. interestingly, i think they both can be personally guarded but are very outwardly empathetic to others. joshua who is so deeply empathetic, jun who is so unabashedly accepting of others. this openness toward others makes them very attractive, but they have a shared obstinance around being vulnerable and i like that as a ship they have to crack each other to get to their soft parts.
2) temperaments – relatedly, they're both stubborn. they stick to their guns, will do whatever it is to get what they want, and are extremely driven. for first impressions i think junhui can come off as a little aloof, joshua a little withheld. but actually they both have this wild side to them, blazing passion, relentless stamina, ridiculous senses of humor, and they complement each other so much on that level. they are great at matching each other's energy
3) shared interests/companionship – those matching temperaments make it so they're just well suited to be together, literally two guys who never get tired. i love the kinds of dates they go on, shopping, biking, late night walks, meals in a foreign country. they just match so well. also lokwey i just think they could fuck for a super long time which is awesome good for them
4) origin story – they met when they were so young and at a time of their lives where they were completely othered, and it drew them together. they both were struggling with adapting to a new culture, speaking a new language, a little older than some of their members who were still in school, but they made the best of it and found a friend who, despite their own differences, became someone they could lean on. i just think it's really beautiful. circumstances can be so formative to a bond and junshua's is really special
5) ambitions – they want to do everything they can! they almost have a greed about them! their ceaseless passion makes them really compatible. i love seeing joshua pursue his chinese endeavors be it music or language, and wanting to act, too, meanwhile junhui has been able to finesse his career into being so rich and broad for so many years, and he's only doing more. i feel like they inspire each other, they might even get a little competitive (playfully) with it

hiiii I love love love your svt fics, specially the junshua ones!! you have such a way to write them, they feel so real it makes me crazyyyy! I was wondering if you’d be interested in writing a story with a darker tone? Not an evil Junhui, but maybe something like a morally grey Junhui? A problematic Junhui? idk I figured i would ask your opinion of something like that! :3
hi!! this is such a fun question! first of all thank you! and second of all, yes! i don't usually write much morally gray stuff or "dark" stuff with rpf because i sometimes get a bit afraid of how people react (inability to separate who the character is based off of vs. the character in the fic) but i think it would be SUPER interesting, especially with jun in light of su cheng's character, it would be so fun to write something darker or more intense thematically. i don't particularly love gore or violence, but i think themes of morality are super interesting and not something i've explored a lot in my own work

been reading thru some of the recent kpop ficmix works, do you think you'd ever join a fest/exchange like that? :3 id be so interested to see you take on a remix but i get that not every author is comfortable w opening their works up to someone else [off topic: everyone should check out this fic remix told entirely thru CROSSWORD PUZZLES??! https://archiveofourown.org/works/91919826]
omg hi. great question. actually long ago a bunch of the old solbooist crowd had a whole ficmix plan laid out. we'd assigned everyone to each other and everything. i was supposed to write a remix of faith's green thumb... but alas... a lot of the people who were supposed to be involved in the fic mix aren't even active in the svt space anymore :C but it is super cool, if anyone ever wanted to remix my fic (with permission) i'd be sooo happy. ver always said she was gonna do a remix of t3, i shall wait for that day /j
also omg the crossword puzzle fic is very cool!! what an interesting format!!

What made you want to start writing fanfiction? Or I guess how did you start?
oh gosh i don't really know what the impetus was. i started when i was really young. i think my first fic must've been when i was ten or eleven? i was in fandom spaces from a super young age, and i always liked writing even before i discovered fic, so i think it felt like a natural progression for me. there were a few times where i took a break, but honestly i can't remember many times when i /wasn't/ writing fic
