pls talk about heehoon (if you want) (if you have things to say about them) my otp brooo your recent heehoon fic is in my mind

I feel like I have a lot to say, but not a lot that hasn’t already been said before.. still, these are my thoughts! In general, I enjoy heehoon for how tender they are as a duo. I think the softest and lightest parts of their personalities show themselves at full opacity when they’re together. It’s not like they become uber soft fluff balls together, but it just feels like on Hoon’s end, he relaxes and loosens up a lot, and has a lot of fun messing around with Heeseung, which is also what allows him to be that extra bit vulnerable and open with him. And I think on Heeseung’s end, the realisation that his words and actions have such a profound, meaningful impact on Hoon, might sometimes be overwhelming, but he’s also just extra soft and tender with Sunghoon, that its easier to bare, especially half a decade into their relationship and proximity to each other.

I feel a bit crazy about Hoon’s unwillingness to cross the line with Hee, like there is a very specific and purposeful way he is with him, which is because he’s polite and respectful in general, but Extra with Hee. That moment in the stunt en-oclock episode where they’re acting and he still doesn’t want to speak informally/rude to Hee? Lesser things have made me as crazy as that clip did.. I have more to say than I expected lol.. generally though, heehoon are just a very tender, sometimes fragile, duo to me, and the relationship is quite dependent on how they both feel about themselves because they both feel a different sense of responsibility for the other;

Sunghoon and his devoted, almost reverent need to be polite and gentle and respectful to Hee, be a shoulder for him, hear him out, help him destress, and show Hee he’s made Hoon happy and proud.

Then Heeseung — knowing Sunghoon takes his words like gospel, knowing what he says when Hoon asks things (like the infamous question about love) is Very important and he has to be careful and take it seriously, because Hoon does, Hee being a safe space for Hoon not to just be vulnerable or emotional, but to play around and feel good, and the overall responsibility he feels as the eldest to be a solid, reliable, safe space.

I also like that Hee doesn’t want any kind of power over any of them simply because of age or skills, but it sometimes (always) feels like Hoon wouldn’t mind it.

And thank you so much! 🥹💖 I’m so happy you liked the fic <33
