Yoongi’s a senior producer who prides himself on being the most unflappable alpha in the room. Sharp tongue, colder tone and even zero tolerance for bullshit. And then Namjoon shows up, the new intern, bright-eyed, too clever for his own good, smelling faintly like nervous excitement and coffee. Yoongi’s alpha side clocks him immediately, an instinctual pull and Joon’s omega scent hits him hard, and worse, his own alpha (the one he usually has iron control over) goes soft for Namjoon. Warm, protective and almost fond.

Yoongi hates it…because feelings. So doubles down, he’s meaner to Namjoon than anyone else in the studio. Nitpicks his mixes, cuts him off in meetings, throws him the hardest edits just to watch him scramble. Every snide comment is a cover for how his pulse jumps whenever Namjoon looks at him too long.

Namjoon, meanwhile, doesn’t understand any of it. The man’s moods make no sense, one minute Yoongi’s brushing past him close enough that Namjoon can feel the heat of his skin, scent curling thick in the air, and the next he’s acting like Namjoon’s existence offends him. It’s confusing, especially when Namjoon’s own instincts start to react.

maybe it gets worse once Yoongi’s alpha starts slipping through the cracks. A growl in his voice when someone else gets too close to Namjoon and this time Joon tells him off and decides to ignore Yoongi for his own mental sanity as well as instinctual health. This makes Yoongi even worse but in the yearning kind of way.
