Waaah, you’ll be coming to my home country 🥰 !! How fun!! I hope my fellow country(wo)men will treat you well (we are known for being quite direct after all). And I’m sorry to hear you had a bad experience before, that’s such a let down. I really hope you’ll have a better experience here!

If you’ll be studying in our capital, please visit other cities if you want to get a more authentic feel of our country!! Amsterdam is so overly touristy, these days it feels like a different world in comparison to the rest of our country. Also random thought but I recommend getting stroopwafels from the regular markets not those expensive stores with ridiculously long lines haha if you need more tips let me know, i’ll just send you a list 🫶🏻

I actually studied in Seoul! Back then when I didnt care about BTS at all lol how things have changed. Ngl, it was pretty tough tbh, not only academically but also my culture and Korean culture differ wildly, so at times I really missed home. But as difficult as it was, it was also an incredibly enriching experience. There is so much to learn from each other honestly. I think I gained more confidence navigating life on my own and learned a lot about myself while staying there.

ok first of all i LOVE stroopwafels 😭 they're so good!! i'm not in the capital (i'm up north... iykyk maybe?) hahah but i'll see if maybe i can take a trip to there sometime! i wanna take a few trips if time allows it! i've been to amsterdam three times already (one of the people who made it so touristy 😔) and i really like the city!
please send a recs list about everything netherlands if you don't mind! i've been here for almost 2 months but i'm sure there's still so much i don't know lmao

it's sooooo cool that you studied in seoul!! i have a friend who went there too and she loved it. and i agree, it's definitely a hard thing to do (glad i'm not alone feeling like this), especially when you're a person who gets homesick super easily, but it's soooo enriching too. you meet so many people from all over the world and sharing experiences and world views and having conversations is honestly one of my favorite things
