In the not-so-distant past I had crippling social anxiety so I did not often seek people out despite having the desire to. Now, I am intentionally more reserved and only attempt to get to know new people with they've truly piqued my interest and we're on the same wavelength; otherwise, I am generally satisfied with my current circle of friends.

I am not necessarily fond of the process of getting to know others unless there is sufficient reciprocation. Aside from that, I have very frequent social burn out so I'm not always proactive as I'd like to be!
