i have an issue with tagging my plot relevant fics that is the fact that i dont want to spoil it like: what if i dont want to tell which ships get together?? or of a character will die, or something that night be a trigger for some readers but is a plot twist to the story. I love writing lengthy book-like stories but always have this problem
there’s a warning on ao3 that says you chose to not show warnings, i’d firstly use that, and i’d simply just tag for like the ships thing, something like other pairings etc. so it doesn’t say who, but says there is. for the triggering stuff, leave it as a warning at the end of your notes on that chapter it is in. then write a note saying that you’ve left the tw in the summary below, so the people that feel they need to read the warnings can, and the others who don’t will still get the element of surprise. that’s at least what i would do! sorry if this doesn’t make sense i’m half asleep but if you need more on this write another message on here and i will go into more detail <3
