so, my autism presents a lot more similarly to jisung than minho. im super sensory seeking and very affectionate, so in terms of accomodations for him ill think about the things that work best for me. minho is a little trickier, but ill give it my best go!

they definitely have a sensory swing. they probably bought it for jisung in an attempt to regulate him, but i feel like minho would have used it once and really loved it. jisung is also super stimmy, so they definitely have fidgets everywhere. i think he would like tangles and anything that clicks. and cute little reptile/insect/shark ones !!! anything pretty and colourful.

NO BIG LIGHTS !!!!! neither of them are the kind to like the big light. there’s lots of different lamps with dimming bulbs in every room, and their apartment has as much natural lighting as possible. on top of that, there’s blackout curtains in both bedrooms.

jisung really likes colour and texture, whilst minho doesn’t, so they balance their needs - their pillows are fun and colourful with texture jisung can play with, but their couch is plain leather. nothing corduroy or velvet #icky

i like the idea that they both sleep in minhos bed, but that their own bedrooms are their individual safe spaces. both rooms are definitely soundproofed, for jisung this is because he plays music and sings a lot but minho needs time to decompress in silence. i also think they have really good temperature control in their apartment - jisung gets dysregulated easily if its too hot, and minho gets dysregulated easily if its too cold, so they find a balance.

they both need routine and consistency a LOT, so they have things like labels on every cupboard and a calendar on the fridge. they both find it hard to remember to eat and brush their teeth and drink water and other personal care tasks, so theres alarms set CONSTANTLY. jisung’s adhd clashes not only with his own autism but with minho’s, so they find workarounds - for example, if its helpful for jisung to leave something out to remember things, then hes allowed to leave it out.

in terms of routine, i think about it mostly in terms of morning and night. i feel like minho definitely cooks them dinner, because incorporating it into a routine makes it easier for them to remember to eat. theres an element of control for minho in cooking, because he knows everything that goes into the meal and exactly how it feels and tastes. i also think they have really strict rules around buying groceries - they dont buy a lot of fresh produce, things that can go off quickly. a lot of autistic people [me included] dont like the texture of fruit/vegtables, so i think they’d probably find a workaround through things like smoothies and frozen fruit.

like i mentioned earlier they also both definitely need alone time at the end of the day, so they do that when they get home. but their bedtime routine definitely involves a lot of alarms [so jisungs time blindness doesnt mean he stays up too late], and i feel like theyre the kind of people who have to say certain things in a certain order before they go to sleep. this is because im imposing on jisung my own need for ritualistic phrases.

theres SO many more things but these are the first that come to mind. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH !!!!!!!!!
