another great question! i remember clearing a grove with my friends in the woods afterschool so we could erect dolmens there. we went about it as traditionally as we could, we made the axes and wove the ropes ourselves from fibrous ferns. we lit small fires at the base of the trees to char the bark and hacked away at it, repeated the process until the trees were felled. we used the felled trees to construct a sweat lodge, dug up the trunks and processes the hard wood into bowls and spoons. some of the logs were split and used to transport the boulders used to construct the dolmens. they are still there.
