do you have any synthpop music recommendations? 🤍
sometimes I wish the way the other members use ig would be a bit more like sb’s, which is the only one that to me feels personal in a way? maybe because he mainly posts pics taken by his friends and of his time off while the others seem to post mostly pics taken by staff. I also feel like th, bg, and hk still have to find a vibe if that makes sense 😅 what are your opinions around ig and what would you like to see more or less? I also want sb to change his profile pic it’s been ages ahahhaha
i'm gonna be very honest, i used to care more about this stuff but now i just enjoy whateverndcsdjh i think after the long storm im just happy that they have their own instagram now, sometimes i wish i was their little stylist and photographer fairy to make them take pictures and do poses i have in my mind but everything is good to me after the snow app trauma 🦦 i used to beg to see more back camera pictures without filters and anything else...
also i would argue that they all have their own vibe...especially beomgyu whenever he uses his fujifilm camera, there is a distinct sense of style!
I kinda remember you were watching fullmetal alchemist, how are you liking it so far? if you have finished it i would love hear about thoughts 🙆🏽♀️
do you have many thoughts regarding no labels pt2??? like regarding music or visuals? do you have a moodboard prepare? 🐬
for me, pretty sure he is gonna switch a flip so hard for part 2, a lot of somber & melancholy vibes. him being very reflective and also a lot blue color in the album!!
and also shay latukolan choregrapher is also in prague right now 👀
i am enjoying everything that is been talked around recently, like how it may revolve around the color blue and different selves/mirrors/burning with blue flames etc. hopefully i will prepare a moodboard inspired by all these theories!!
i don't know much about the choreographer and since he doesn't follow yj as well i thought it could be just a coincidence...but hopefully something amazing is waiting for us either way
hello gumcats pls stay on moa twt for as long as possible ur fashion and art thoughts in general are my morning newspaper
what’s your opinion on txt always using their logo as their korean album covers? I personally think it’s a nice niche, but sometimes it feels a little stale. Like if they stopped doing it i’d be a little sad bc of nostalgia, but i also wouldn’t mind them trying something new and being able to have more versatility in the designs. I’m a big fan of their japanese album covers, esp starkissed! I LOVED the illustrations by Suu Morishita, it’d be nice if they could do something like that for the main albums
i liked the idea of it and how it shaped their brand but i think there was a bit of untapped potential there as well and now if it’s time try new things then they can let it go…i would be sad for a bit but im open for the new adventures!! for a korean cb i want to see a cover from them that has their faces, or something that is different compared to the previous ones (not exactly faces but silhouettes maybe? or illustrations as you mentioned) but there is something i should mention:
i think i am more picky about the covers with faces compared to the faceless ones, like it’s such a hit or miss thing in general and i don’t think i trust every creative team with that 😭 so if enough care is not gonna be given i would prefer the same old style with a touch of illustrations and textures instead of the flat vector look

seems like beomgyu has a brand deal in his hands 👩🏽💻
hi gumcats! Can I ask if you know in any way, the creative team behind yeonjun's harper's bazaar magazine cover? I'm seeing claims that: "Both stylings were confirmed to be exclusively handled by BIGHIT — local brand and magazine teams had zero input.". I wanna know if that's true in any way or if his china bar is just jumping to conclusions. I'm not a huge fan of it either but I'm wondering if some of yj's fans are being too controlling over him, hence, jumping to conclusions and pinning the blame on bh.
hi! you can check the credits from the magazine's weibo page (https://weibo.com/1664275343/5299881251439154) most of the crew is korean, mua is their in-house one but the others are not exclusive names from bighit
i think it would be nice to see great chinese photographers since he is on the cover of a big chinese magazine but as far as i know often times the crew are similar to other korean magazines since the shootings are mostly done in korea. it happens with several other k-idols and actors so it's not something exclusive to yeonjun. (but well seems like the reason of everyone's fuss is the hair in the red cover, which makes me think they wouldn't have a problem with styling if it wasn't like that so c-side looks extra dramatic to me)
I need your opinion on yeonjun’s Harper’s magazine moa’s are not happy with it and it’s getting out of hands 👻
I’m getting the feeling that the new creative director doesn’t care about txt and is just doing enough to get her paycheck I just want someone that actually cares about the artistic direction of the group, like even if I don’t like it but they themselves believe in it, it’s still better than feeling meh about everything
okay i agree that there is lack of care on visual team's side but i think role names gets mixed up sometimes. usually in a txt album there are roles like head of creative, brand experience design and visual creative. the previous head of creative person (sun moon) is not present on this album, new one used to be on the bx team and now their name can be seen on both roles. brand experience team is usually present for things like logo, album and package design, promotional design assets. lastly visual creative team is what we talk about the most, to give an example rakta and sujung’s names were credited here. i believe the order of the names written in credits shows their seniority, though i don’t know if they refer to each other with different role names. but in short there is no specific name in credits for the people here except for visual creative. (someone was shown in visual creative team but judging from her instagram captions it actually evolved from style directing to visual directing) on the other hand this album had a new role and name in credits which is creative director (apart from visual creatives). again i couldn’t find much about them and their past work when i searched it online 😓
i don’t expect these people to have a crazy good relationship with txt or show it off on instagram constantly, it’s a job at the end and very much an exhausting one at that. but i believe the roles in this field and kpop has evolved and the creative team being complementary to music group’s itself became more important. (and though i said i dont ‘expect’ it, it’s still a good feeling when you can see the people behind the works are also proud of them and wants to talk about them)
this answer is again kind of all over the place but in short i don’t like generalizing actions of one person to whole team of 6 especially since i don’t exactly know how do things work there and only talk based on what i see here and there, though i think that txt could definitely benefit more from a visual team who shows more attention or display that attention if it already does exist. lastly every company has their own ways of naming creative teams so while it’s good to distinguish these roles maybe the names doesn’t carry much weight, what matters is being able to work in harmony and showing that to others (fans in this scenario).
