I think Pokemon Black & White is by far the best game in the whole franchise. I know a lot of people may not agree with me but do I GAF? NO LOL. I think that when the developers decided to make the game more like story-driven then any other games that they made really made me love this game even more. I mean the plot? Even though Ghetsis's true goal was to take over the Unova region, his whole like "fake story" about that pokemon should be liberated and make people think about if they should really stay with their pokemon really struck something in to me. I think N is by far the best written rival- and I'm getting sent dts- ANYWHO I think that him being the King of Team Plasma was a bit of a shock to me at least. When I played Pokemon White, throughout the story he was more or so talking directly to the player not the protagonist. Unlike any other rivals you come across he abhors Pokemon battles as he doesn't like seeing his "friends" get hurt and mistreated but this was due to Ghetsis isolating N and manipulating him to believe that all people were mistreating their pokemon and pokemon battles were making them suffer. Ghetsis groomed N into becoming the King of Plasma and who would be chosen as one of the heroes (either by Zekrom or Reshiram) and defeat the Pokemon champion and to then take over the whole world starting with the Unova Region with the legendary Pokemon by his side. N sadly thought that he was actually going to go through all of this (this guy is genuinely fucked up 😭) N has the ability to talk to pokemon and I think(?) after every battle with him he shows a bit of shock and confusion when our pokemon displays fondness to us. N
