anon this is so terribly sweet & so saddening to read. it really fills me with impotence that this fandom has gone to shit so damn quickly. even if i know this was never a very nice place to begin with, it feels like it just got unbearable as of late. to me, it isn't really a competition, it's just unwelcoming & straight up not rewarding to create for this fandom. i am the first person that will always advocate for writing for yourself, if you don't love what you do as a hobby, then you're doomed from the beginning; However, wanting not only validation but most importantly a sense of community while creating is a key part of the process & fandom as a whole & zeroses just Aren't that. i'm not saying that everybody is like this in the fandom, but it's impossible to ignore just how greedy & ungrateful people are here; they see fan creations as content to consume & be done with, as if fan creators are an extension of company/variety content, like we owe it to them to write/draw/edit/wtv, which has always been a bit of an issue but the way zeroses discard fics after they're done with them (most of the time without even commenting/sharing them to begin with) is immensely discouraging to witness. the nerve people have to Constantly complain about the apparent "lack of [GOOD] fics" under their fuck ass ship tag is beyond disrespectful to every single writer under those tags. why would anyone want to create for a fandom like this? again, i truly believe in writing for yourself first and foremost, but i'm all about self-respect as well. i'm personally not in the bussinness to spend weeks agonizing over what i'm writing when i know it will be treated with no respect whatsoever. fruitless ship wars & the way people policy creators are also their own can of radioactive worms i just don't have the brain capacity to even get into. anyway, i am sorry that my gm posting has dwindled as of late, and i'm very sad to say that it will not get better, either. geonmaet & jbw are Forever Genuinely!!!!! but this zerose shit just isn't it for me.
