COKE RANT INCOMING. My interpretation on that NYC-Sonder concert VCR is that the Purinz altercation somehow affected the whole group too based on the scenes?
⚠️ This is just my interpretation from the video Im not saying that this is what I think actually happened Im not on that level of delusion yet !!!
1 - SKR EC KZH minding their own business, then YJ walks in with the incomplete cake (i think the cake is supposed to represent the group). They didnt really pay much attention to YJ and the cake when she stepped inside that room. They werent affected yet
2 - YJ going up to check on CW, but the 3 were basically eavesdropping and whispering about whats goin on. Eventually they realize the depth of this issue so they try to help to fix whatever mess the 2 are in?
3 - EC KZH with the rewinding time thing, Im not sure abt this one but its like theyre just trying to "go back" to the time where there were "no misunderstandings". EC drawing a clock > she was outspoken about it; KZH with the clock beside her head > she was thinking the same thing but not outspoken
4 - As the unnie, SKR tries connecting them all 5 again by herself (as portrayed by the yarn) but it seems like it didnt work
5 - YJ with the box full of pictures. Her throwing the contents out felt more like she was starting to put them at a distance because her emotions are really strong and might affect them further? Hence why she puts the box over her head.
6 - Going back to the incomplete cake that YJ brought. There's a scene where the missing part was filled by yarn, then earphones, then time. The same things SKR, KZH, and EC were holding the first time. Like they were trying to fill in the gap themselves instead because nothing was "working"? That seemed to work for awhile i guess.
7 - The toy cake? falling and breaking in CW's room. By this point I think CW herself realizes that the "misunderstanding" was getting out of hand. Again, cake = the group. Group is starting to break o hno
8 - Uhm I can't think of anything coherent for YJ walking backwards. Maybe she still can't get over what happened IDK bruh maybe she was trying to see if she did something wrong
9 - KZH with her hand splitting the POV thing. Closing one eye > they only knew one side of the story before? YJ and CW on different rooms > YJ suddenly on CW's side of the room > Maybe she started to put herself on CW's shoes to understand her better. Same goes with the other members going in and out of YJ and CW's rooms?
10 - That probably helped them now Purinz finally make up with each other Yey the whole group Happy again
11 - Chaewon staring > Whenever she remembers everything that happened (the previous scenes) she feels as if it was her fault so shes like. Guilty. But then the others join her immediately as if to wash away her worries because it wasnt really anyones fault.
12 - The cake is finally whole again they are HAPPY ! YJ smiling at the end ! Do not separate the fimmies!!

for what it’s worth, your memory is killer if you’re going based off watching it once. it’s honestly really shocking that they’re acknowledging the reason behind their fight, especially through the pre-recorded videos playing while they change during tour. i had to rewatch it to make my edit as well as when i cut it up to send to oomf, so i do see a lot of what you’re talking about specifically with the cake, but i too tend to get a little lost when the whole rewind time thing starts factoring in. overall a really interesting theories, hopefully this gets more ppl talking about it cause i’m curious to see what everyone else thinks.
