There was a fic (I don't remember which one; it could be "a city for us" in this case too) where one of the characters – probably Seokjin – said something along the lines of "since you didn't know what to tell me to ease my suffering, you somehow decided it was okay to leave me there to suffer alone". It stuck with me and I've been trying to be there for who I love ever since, even if it's hard for me too.
