i’ve been somewhat avoiding reading the ember affair as it’s not been completed yet and i’ve read a lot of the authors works before so i just know ill be completely enamoured by it but since you said it’s one of your favourites, do you think it’s readable and the fact that the last chapter is missing, wouldn’t affect the reading experience?
There are fics whose stories are complete even if the final chapter is missing because it's meant as an epilogue – "Sidepiece" by cinamonnon is an example of this. "the ember affair" isn't, and currently ends with a cliffhanger. Still, I think everyone should read it. The fic is an experience, and personally I'm not bothered by the lack of the last chapter; it doesn't deprive the story of its twisted beauty. In fact, your question made me want to reread it. Thank you!
