I'm usually driven by one single scene that is very clear in my mind. I plot around that scene and write with it as the goal to reach: that is the biggest motivation. Some days, however, I have zero will to write, so I just take a rest; taking rests is important to avoid burnout, and after a while of not writing, I find myself yearning to write again. I also have very low daily word goals so that I don't stress about not being able to write thousands of words a day. In the end, I think the secret to keep writing is just loving the story and its characters, and everything will fall into place.
