hiii :3 not really sure how to go about asking this, but i’ve been in awe of how well your playlists suit your fics- how much is your writing influenced by the music you listen to? at what point in the writing process do you start curating playlists? i know silver springs literally exists LOL i just kinda wanted to pick your brain a bit abt which comes first, the ideas and writing or the playlist
also i’ve gotten back into reading through fics after YEARS of not being able to pick up a book bc of 80hd and something about your writing style clicks with my brain and is super cohesive and dynamic to read GAHH i’m just really grateful to have the chance to read writing like yours!! thank you for puttin ur thought worms out into the world u da best ever okay
hi! for starters, thank u so much for loving my work! i'm happy to have aided in your rekindled love for fics hehe
and secondly to answer your question, for music inspo, it's usually a mix of a few things: sometimes a song in my shuffle will come on, and it'll randomly inspire me with a story concept or paticular scene i'd love to write, or I know what kind of story I already want to write, so I'll go look for a particular artist that'll match that vibe, and then go from there and find other artist similar to that. For example, for lamb of roses, one song that really inspired me was can't catch me now by Olivia Rodrigo, which was her song from the newest hunger games movie, whose world-building inspired a bit of the story. I just went and found songs with a similar vibe and built a playlist around that. Same goes for silver Springs. with Fleetwood Mac's discography in general, they're an artist I really love the lyricism of, so that inspired a lot of particular chapter themes for that fic.
This answer ended up being super long lol but I hope this answer suffices. I love answering questions like this!! :3
