hi! i already left a comment on ao3 but i also wanted to come on here to say again how truly wonderful your work, silver spring, is. i have never felt so attached to a story before.
i also wanted to ask if, before they first broke it off, part of the reason was that neither of them were maybe mature enough to handle something as delicate as what they had? cause even though i was frustrated with both of them, i could understand that minho’s fears were speaking for him and with work overwhelming him it was a lot to deal with, but with jisung i couldn’t help but think he was being a bit unreasonable at times even though he was clearly going through a difficult time himself with the new band and everything. so i really wanted to know what you had mind when you were writing them in that specific part!
btw i also just realised you wrote lamb of roses as well which i’ve had saved for a while. i’ll definitely read that too along all with your other works! you are truly gifted! thank you if reply!

for silver springs, i had actually written their conflict with a goal in mind that they would both be unreasonable in some of their frustrations. i wanted miso respectively to have their own flaws that contrasted. for instance, while minho was mature externally but emotionally immature, jisung was immature externally but emotionally more mature. jisung wanted comfort knowing minho would still be there for him during tough periods of life and felt minho was too focused on his own fears and present stresses to grant jisung any assurance—while minho wanted everyone to get off his case without having to take any responsibility how his stunted emotions could effect jisung in the longrun—stress sometimes makes us approach conflict without a clear mind, and with miso being opposites in terms of how they deal with problems, they were bound to clash. you can only do so much to work things out while being so busy and faraway and needing different things from your partner. so in short, both of their unreasonable behavior was defnitely intentional lol! we are not perfect people, and i wanted to make it feel realistic, even if its infuriating to watch from a distance haha. thanks for the question!
