Artommy/Orelartommy exists in a separate AU from my 'canon', so to speak. It's the What If everything went wrong and Tommy ended up tangled with Art primarily after a falling our with Orel + Bad ending to it being Tommy getting married to Art and Orel being out of the picture entirely by then.

So it goes

Orel and Tommy pin after the other but do nothing about it > Falling out during their first year of college > Tommy becomes involved with Art

Most of my oreltommy art is connected though.

+Note that If I ever speak of 'canon' it's for ease of explanation, since I'm aware oreltommy by itself also falls under AU
