what makes you find tommy appealing?
Short answer; He's cute. Long answer? I'm sure I went into this on a previous Tommy question, but the fact that he's trapped (at least through his teenage years) in a town that explictly others him, having to constantly mask if he wants to get by. Even his 'closest' friends can't fully understand him and I can't help but root for characters like that.
I find it interesting that he was posed as some sort of ring leader on his first meeting with Orel in Beforel and on his first focused appearance he's also the one to insist on an activity for their group / push around. It kind of feels like a fall from grace to have that much control over a group, be reduced by them and then have to forcefully make amends like there's no resentment! That probably speaks of Tommy's ability to control his emotions long term.
With the above in mind and into HC territory so ignore if you wish, the behaviour he exhibited when younger and slightly retains as a teen made me read him as ASPD too. I hardly get to see characters with the disorder portrayed if not through stereotypes so naturally I latched harder under that interpretation. I believe part of his disconnect may also originate from that.
Would it be crazy to say i perceive him like this kind of martyred figure within show lol??? Bonus points for the fact that he's dressed as an angel in canon and I'm ill over that sort of imagery. ASPD angel sent from heaven to keep Orel in line.
