Hmm. As for the cafes… Yes and no (?) The one where Tenma was with Eva or the that one scene where Anna met with Rosso did look a bit ‘foreign’, maybe closer to an American diner. But the place where we saw Anna working or the hotel/inn in Ruhenheim looked pretty accurate to me decoration/ambience wise tbh. I must admit though that I wasn’t born in the 90’s but rather late mid 2000’s so I can’t exactly speak for that time period, other than having seen photographs or movies from that time, haha.But since it was the Western side of Germany, most outsiders probably didn’t question it.
But I guess nowadays, the number of the really ‘traditional’ have decimated by the years and were rather replaced by big chains, Honestly, if Monster played today, it would actually be funny to imagine them sit inside one of those mass produced ones that are decorated with plastic plants, plastic chairs and weird wall deco, lol
