can i just put it out on record that it’s been so long ever since i’ve read a treasure piece of literature that brilliantly encapsulates the beauty of historical, supernatural, and romantic genre all in one. TGB was such a fun read. Your writing is so irresistible that i couldn’t put my phone down after starting the chapter (and how i couldn’t even treat it as a reward for later because i have to read it Now). i love how you took the time to make the details historically accurate from the hair the characters have down to the straw slippers they wore. the setting—the marsh, the forest, the river—all those like other worldly description of where baeksoo walked through together, they were such beautiful visuals for my imagination. kinda took inspiration from studio ghibli movies in this regard actually for some reason. anyway, i love baeksoo’s love in this story. so tender and spicy but nevertheless true and fated. i said these but i actually was frightened when seonho went up and talk abt ksoo being strung out by a demon all along (because i thought fuck—is this the major plot twist?) anw, glad that their love wasn’t built from anything evil or manipulation—it was genuine and i love that for them. loving the fact that ksoo’s humanness didn’t ever change in the end and how their children found their paths on their own. also, that little snippet of the wolves playing with each other, kind of symbolising they already found each other in another form—that’s so awesome and precious. i love this story so much and i’m glad i read it until the very beautiful end. thank you always for sharing your deeply-engaging works ❤️
