when i write an outline, i start by writing a rough list of the moments i want to happen. they dont have to be detailed yet, just key scenes, events, or turning points roughly in the order they occur.

then i begin to group those moments into chapters and i usually do 1 or 2 scenes per chapter. tho that number might change depending on long or complex the scenes are. like some chapters might only contain a single important event, while others might hold two smaller ones.

keep the outline flexible!!!! as you write, you can move scenes around, add new ideas, or remove ones that no longer fit. i find my finished story is usually nothing like what i started with. for example AITV was only supposed to be 10 chapters and ended up being 15 lol.

i also keep a physical sheet of paper with my outline written down on it cause i find it better to be able to refer to it at any time. and its also easier to jot down new ideas, draw arrows, or add notes, etc.

it's disheartening for sure that people are using a.i. to write fics bc i feel like it takes the fun out of writing you know??? to me, the best part of writing is making is researching information and making the outline and seeing your hard work come together into a final story.

i wish more people would be more confident in themselves cause i fully believe everybody has the ability to write!!!!!! we all have to start from somewhere and its okay if its not "perfect". there's so many amazing authors in lunéville too who would absolutely give writing advice if asked.

for the other part of your message, i don't think its as easy as we think to call people out for using a.i. because the system has literally been taught using actual authors writing techniques (im not gonna call a.i. users 'authors' lol). trying to call people out is going to result in witch hunts which is extremely unproductive.

truly, in my opinion, if you think a story is a.i. - just block the writer on ao3 and don't give them any attention or hits. unless of course they leave a llm prompt in their story 💀💀 then of course take a ss and call their ass out lmao 🤣 which fic had that in it? im dying to know 😭
