Hello, if an artist submits a response then edits the response and resubmits it for application will it “replace” the old response with the new one? Asking to avoid any duplicate responses.

Heyya! I would love to participate in this zine but don't have fan idols of my own and wish to apply as a spot artist or make fanworks for another person's OC(s). I was wondering what should be submitted for the first pitch section in this scenario. Would it just be the general kind of piece I had in mind to create? (as this would be slightly dependant on the character(s) the piece is being made for ^^) - Lore/Lucien
Hiya!! ♪ You can just put "I'm only interested in creating spot art for this zine!" as your first pitch! You may also put "I would like to collab with another creator to draw their fan idol(s)!" in the second pitch section!
We would also like to emphasize that you do not need to already have a fan idol in order to apply/be accepted! If you're accepted, you would have until May 15th, which is the due date for the first check-in to finalize a character concept (If you wanted to draw that new fan idol!).

I am confused as how do I apply my idols for the zine.
e.g. let's say I wanted to have an interview of my characters talking on the zine, or just showing Splatfest art and/or themes. Where do I apply and what do I have to send?
If you are writing a full interview (regardless of whether you are doing your own spot art or not) you should apply as a writer.
If the accompanying art to your interview is a full page, you should also, on TOP of applying as a writer, apply as a page artist and leave a note that your full page is together with your writing pitch!
For the writer's application, you'll submit any past fics you've written as a google doc, or a link to an alternate site (like AO3.) If you don't have any finished fics, roleplaying examples (screenshots or otherwise) will suffice!
For the page artist's application, you'll submit examples of art you've created in the past that best shows off your skill! We're looking for pieces with completed backgrounds and rendering.
This art zine is collaborative in nature, but participants will be writing/drawing pieces on their own!
Applications do not guarantee acceptance. (But you should still apply!)

I’m someone who has multiple fan-idol groups, do I need to settle on just one for the pitches?
You may pitch a different idol group for each pitch! While we will select you for one pitch, there are plenty of opportunities within the zine for one contributor to create multiple pieces for the different idol groups they may have.
You may also create one pitch that includes every character, if you're feeling ambitious enough to draw them/write about them!

Yes, absolutely! As long as the ship is SFW, go for it!
