hihi! sorry if you’re already answered this but what are your top 3/5 genres (like favourites?) ++ any recommendations from then?
Hi!!! Since I watch and read different types of media (tv shows, animanga, manhwa, books), I'm going to include them all there lol! Basically my favorite genres are:
🌟 Romance fantasy (rofan):
Manhwa: Villains Are Destined To Die, My In-Laws Are Obsessed With Me, How To Win My Husband Over, I Shall Master this Family, A Stepmother’s Märchen, Mother's Contract Marriage, My Numbered Days of Happiness, Raising My Fiancé with Money
Animanga: Akatsuki no Yona
Books: The Bridge Kingdom series by Danielle L. Jensen
Asian dramas: Goblin, Hotel del Luna, Doom at Your Service, How Dare You!?, Love Between Fairy and Devil
🌟 Historical fiction/historical romance:
Manhwa: Miss Pendleton, Your Ryan, Whale Star
Animanga: Emma, The Apothecary Diaries, My Happy Marriage
Books (be aware you can encounter some problematic aspects in historical romance in general, especially if the book was published in the 90s/2000s): Devil in Winter, Devil in Spring by Lisa Kleypas (READ LISA KLEYPAS' BOOKS!!!!!! The queen of historical romance), An Inconvenient Vow by Alice Coldbreath (love a prideful himbo who is down horrendous for his wife), Never Seduce a Scot by Maya Banks
Asian dramas: Under The Queen's Umbrella, The Tale of Lady Ok, The Red Sleeve (be aware, this isn't really a love story or a happy ending)
🌟 Contemporary fiction/Contemporary romance (with a tinge of women's fiction or/and romcom)
Manhwa: Positively Yours, Three Mouthwatering Meals for Two
Animanga: A Sign of Affection
Books: Book Lovers, Funny Story by Emily Henry, Skyland series by Kennedy Ryan
Asian dramas: Her Private Life, Business Proposal, You Are My Glory, The Best Thing, The First Frost, Little Women, Search WWW, King The Land, Suspicious Partner (mix of romcom of law drama)
🌟 Sports/sports romance:
Animanga: Kuroko no Basket, Slam Dunk, Days (very underrated football manga!), Haikyuu!!
Books: Windy City series by Liz Tomforde, Vancouver Storm series by Stephanie Archer
(I'm a big sports fan myself btw lol)
🌟 Slice of life:
Animanga: Fruits Basket (also, technically it's not a fantasy romance but a supernatural one), A Man and His Cat, Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun
Manhwa: On the Way to Meet Mom
Asian dramas: When Life Gives You Tangerines, Move to Heaven, Fight For My Way
