hi! not to criticize your brand and i actually love your matcha pero im just curious how you came up with your pricing? kasi for a popup matcha bar i think it's too expensive. merong ibang cafe that has good matcha with good ambiance, security, outlets and wifi pa but di sila lumalagpas ng 250 for standard matcha latte. i really love your matcha pero in this economy i can't justify the price especially if pipila ko sa initan tas wala pang tissue na kasama yung drinks :<
hello! that’s a really good question! here’s how we came up with our pricing ⬇️
- matcha/hojicha powder & shipping - our powders are directly sourced from the tea farms in Japan and it’s first harvest hence, it’s very expensive! 🥹 Plus we have to pay for the shipping via airfreight too, sometimes it costs the same amount as 1kg na T_T
- stocks & ingredients - surprisingly these are expensive too :-( from milk, agave, other ingredients we use to make our home-made recipes costs a lot too! sometimes we even buy na from resellers (esp agave) bcs it’s soldout everywhere so we buy it from a resellers price :((
- logistics - we’re not from manila, so we also spend on gas, toll, airbnb (if we have 2-3days events), and we rent a car too so we can fit all our things! plus gas is so expensive nakakaiyak nalang real 🥹
- manpower - i do all our accounting so i pay all our team members from matcharistas, cashier, and driver! they work hard & throughout the day so i really dont pay them any less than 5 digits :’)
- labor - ofc i have to earn too 🥹 people think we earn alot ALOT but if u properly calculate all the costs, it’s really the passion that keeps you going hahaha
i really try to lower the prices of the drinks we sell, but if we lower it pa sa current pricing na meron kami now, it’ll be really hard to keep up na :-((
every brand has different expenses & costings w their products. so i get why there’s comparisons! if it’s too expensive for now, maybe you can see it as a treat for next time you wanna take yourself out for a good drink! :’)
ALSOOO we have tissues available po hdhsjs im sorry i think hindi kasi siya nakikita where it’s placed but it’s below the cashier area beside the faux plant!! 😭
