How long is Viktor's tail? What color(s) is it? What color(s) is his skin?
honestly I didn't think about exact measurements yet but he's definitely long enough to go boa constrictor on a tall adult and still have a lil bit of tail left 🤔
and he isn't patterned like a traditional mermaid with a distinct diff between humanoid upper half and piscine lower half; his skin is gray all over with a mottled and partially reticulated pattern. he's paler on the underside up to his face and darker on top as well! :D

How does Jayce feel about the creature that keeps trying to copulate with him? Jayce is a marine scientist yeah? So he's probably aware that Viktor is confused over his mating instincts and imprinted on him; does Jayce pity him? Is Jayce still scared of him? Also, what exactly is Jayce's research?
creatures like viktor were only sighted or interacted briefly w humans in that verse so jayce is using the attachment for his research and he'll take anything he can get tbh. even getting repeatedly molested by an oversized eel person lol. he isnt scared anymore per se, but theres definitely a measure of healthy respect, especially with how unpredictable vik still is to him. and honestly i didnt rly think too hard about the research itself yet but it definitely has to do with figuring out the fish ppl and protecting their habitats while also determining their level of intellect and if theyre on par with humans or maybe even more intelligent

Maybe I'm overthinking things, but it seems Viktor isn't in his natural environment? Is he originally a deep sea creature? What's he doing in shallow waters? Did he choose to ascend to surface-level ecosystems, or did something happen that forced him to? Is Viktor's species naturally solitary, or did something happen to separate him from his kind? He understands Jayce, so has he encountered humans before? There are mentions that he's been harmed before--by humans?
i dont wanna spoil too much so i wont go in-depth here but yes, he isnt supposed to be at the coast. viktor is based on a variety of species, like the white ribbon eel, different moray eels, but also bathypelagic eel species and hagfish! thats also why hes cold-blooded and technically an actual fish instead of a marine mammal (or a freaky undiscovered taxonomy i didnt make up yet lmao). and yes, he had encounters with humans other than jayce. as for the harm part, ill leave that up to ur imagination :3c

I really enjoyed your fish fic. I love how you've characterized Viktor as this freaky-ahh creature instead of a person with a tail. Viktor's strange mannerisms, appearance, and perception are so cool. It's been cute watching Viktor slowly gain affection for Jayce despite not understanding it. I also liked 'good boy.' Do you have plans for more chapters? How does Viktor get his name, Viktor? Ik this fic is meant to just be short-paced porn rn, but have you thought about fleshing this out into a full story?
