What do you mean that's very serious where you live? Don't most people drive without their glasses sometimes? Also, it's only a ticket where I live and I think rarely enforced.
I wouldn’t say it’s common here, and the problem is that in Mexico police officers will pull you over for no reason and find any way you’re infringing the law to ask you for bribe money. If you don’t give it to them, you could get a ticket or you could be detained for like 48 hours or they can take away your car for certain amount of time as well
