he had the worst human disguise, he snuck into an orphanage. and she happened to be getting fired from that orphanage. leading to their meeting. because he lied to the warden and said natalie was his mother. azzy was just unlucky enough for natalie to lie for him and say he was her child. she took him in because she saw potential within him. her intentions towards him were never good. she saw him as some kind of outlet to forget about the world crumbling around her. she found his attachment to her endearing, when he started calling her "mom" instead of boss, she let it slide for awhile. but then she noticed he had some similarities with her brother. he was impulsive. he was self destructive. he was incapable of paying attention. and he was co-dependent. he was all she hated. she didnt understand her maternal feelings at that time, but she avoided getting attached to him. she was the kind of parent who wouldnt hug her child. sometimes she was emotionally abusive towards him, too. it wasnt until she snapped when she realized he was compassionate. just like nathaniel. thats when she started hurting him physically.
