for me it depends on what the other person usually likes, but if i had to give a generic recommendation for everyone to enjoy i’d say some classic like Dead Poets Society, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Labyrinth, Roman Holiday, etc. if they want something more of >my< personal taste, i’d recommend Kamikaze Girls, Bones and All, The Lost Boys, The VVitch, The Crow, etc.
