Voila, last message of the day. Is this good? 3 messages a day? Or am I overdoing it now? 😂
Ah, I see. So do you write then? I see you’ve got a Substack. Another question, do you read? If so, what’s your latest read? I’ve been reading more books lately, and a quote from Shakespeare’s Hamlet (I know it’s a play, but still) has been keeping me up. So if you like discussing writings, I’m always up for that
Ahahaha, busted. Maybe I did check your account once or twice. Well, yes, I do understand and I think the sender was being quite a prat. I believe you had no connection to whatever bad thing the other person did, right? It isn’t right to take it out on you. Don’t let it get to your head
Well, yes! I’d love to be friends, I just want to talk to you and get to know you better, I guess. I’m a very intentional person, I must say, and even sometimes quite stubborn in my own ways for I stick to my principles and plans too much for my own good. (You can ask my mom, this trait of mine drives her craaaazy)
Ah, that must’ve been a not very fun experience to go through. I’m sorry you had to go through that. I promise you I have no intention of ding-dong-ditching you, or leading you on for some time then leaving. If you’d like my contact, I’d give it! (If that gives you a peace of mind) Though I’m not sure I’ll be able to give you my X handle, since I haven’t made a new account. Anything that floats your boat really, I’d just like to be your company
That’s nice then! What’s your favorite music genre? Ah, I’d give it a listen tonight, before bed. Tom Misch is new to my ears. As for me, I enjoy listening to (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction by The Rolling Stones the most. They’re an old band, a legend I must say
Have a good one
Till I see you,
N
oh hi n.. this might be very.. very long and please make yourself comfortable first yaa while reading my answer :>
i think the only person who can decide whether it’s “too much” or not is you, since you’re the one choosing to send these messages. as for me, i’m simply the one receiving them, and i’ve genuinely been enjoying our conversations so far. the thought of “this is too much” hasn’t crossed my mind even once.
and yes, i do write. i’ve always found comfort in putting my thoughts into words, especially through poetry. i also enjoy reading quite a lot. most of the books i read are either self-development or books that explore different ways of looking at life. ikigai is one that i genuinely enjoyed!
lately, though, i’ve been trying to finish the bridgerton series. i have a soft spot for period romances and stories set around royalty. reading them has also become a little exercise for me to improve my english and expand my vocabulary.. :>
since you mentioned hamlet, i should also mention that i really enjoy watching plays and theatre performances. i don’t get to watch them as often as i’d like, but i’ve always loved the feeling of seeing a story come to life on stage. i’d love to watch more whenever i get the chance!!
i suppose i made it a little obvious through my reposts, didn’t i? but yes, i think you probably understood most of what happened from those alone. thankfully, i’m doing much better now. thank you for your kindness. i really appreciated it.
really? that’s quite funny, because my parents and friends would probably describe me the same way. they often say i have very strong principles and that i’m a little stubborn too. once i’ve made up my mind or found my own way of approaching something, i tend to stick with it.
but honestly, i don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing. if anything, i think it’s quite comforting, and perhaps even something to be proud of. it means we know ourselves well enough to stand by what we believe in.
i’m not trying to say we’re exactly alike, of course, but i do think it means we’ll probably have interesting conversations and different perspectives to exchange. from what i’ve learned about you so far, our personalities don’t seem all that different. so i understand why you wanted to do things your own way, even if it might seem unusual to other people. i’m quite similar in that regard.
and thank you for saying that. i appreciate you being so clear about your intentions. sincerity is something i value a great deal, so hearing you say that gives me a little peace of mind.
as for exchanging contacts, i honestly don’t mind. i’m not very active on my x account these days anyway, so if you’d ever like to exchange another contact instead, i’d be perfectly happy to. though talking here is just as nice. i think we should simply go with whatever feels most comfortable for both of us!
as for my favorite genre… i don’t think i can settle on just one. my taste changes depending on my mood, so it’s quite varied. but i always find myself coming back to artists like the marías, tom misch, daniel caesar, and men i trust. i have a feeling that if you listened to their music, you’d probably get a pretty good sense of the kind of sound i’m naturally drawn to.
i’ll give satisfaction another proper listen tonight. i’m already familiar with both the rolling stones and the song itself, but i’ve never really sat down to appreciate it attentively. perhaps tonight is the right time.
and now i’m curious—do you have any other songs you’d recommend? i’d love to hear more of your favorites.
until next time, don’t let the bugs bite! 🐞
