i feel like back in 2016-2017 my tl was not as split in kv/vk as it is nowadays 🤔 as for later on, i don't think it's necessarily smaller! many old accs have disappeared but also a lot of new people have come. i have noticed on ao3 that readers seem to engage a bit less (not necessarily with me, since i know my fics are reposts and it's normal that many people who have already read them won't kudos/comment, but even with other people i see engagement being a bit lower than before), but the twt community doesn't seem much different to me?
