These are just what first came to mind but there’s so much more (the first one is really me elaborating on and changing an idea I’ve already had for a long time to fit this, since I regularly forget how to write it’s just a disjointed mess in my docs but if I ever manage to finish that everyone will just have to pretend the overlapping parts is new information) ((also very obvious disclaimer but this is all fanfiction stuff, just fake scenarios being made up based on a real one, normal rpf things))

1. Either ex’s solboo who broke up because it was just too hard to date when they had to keep it a secret. They were so young and so busy, and the stress of being idols and the constant fear of being outed got to them etc. Or codependent solboo since trainee days who never dated but they also were definitely something. Like their relationship was so clearly different and the same age excuse only goes so far. Hansol has been yearning the entire time and then something happens, like Seungkwan starts dating someone else (he’s running away from his feelings, trying to cope, too many risks and complications with dating a group member etc) and Hansol’s heart breaks a little. He suffers for a long time being so close to Seungkwan and knowing he can never have him the way he wants him. He finally decides he needs to get over him (maybe there was an intervention, endless possibilities) so he starts setting boundaries and distancing himself. Doesn’t indulge Seungkwan as much and keeps saying how different they are and how they just have different hobbies in self perseverance. Seungkwan panics and thinks he’s losing him and their friendship when that was the thing he was trying to protect, he reacts by holding on tighter and loving harder which in turn makes it so much harder for Hansol to get over him and it all spirals further until there’s this huge chasm. Seungkwan does the live and says it feels one sided and that Hansol is doing it on purpose etc etc. That eventually leads to a confrontation and argument and finally communication and confessions. They’re older now and more settled and secure in themselves, the group, and the industry. Everything that seemed so impossible before doesn’t anymore, still hard but not impossible, they kiss and live happily ever after (Seungkwan is single again at this point, he never dated anyone seriously because that’s hard when you’re head over heels for someone else)

2. Established relationship solboo, there starts being whispers about them actually being together on a much more serious level than ever before, maybe after the ig story. Seungkwan says all this to damage control and change the narrative, or confuse the narrative. Which can either be really sad and tragic and highlight struggles being an idol and hiding relationships and on top of that being gay and how that changes things. It can explore them cracking under that pressure and constantly having to balance seeming close but not too close and create this artificial distance and how that impacts their relationship but they still choose each other because they can’t imagine not doing that. They have to come to terms with portraying this relationship as unbalanced because Seungkwan loves everyone so loudly it would be more out of place if he stopped so Hansol has to be the distant one which might have already weighed on both of them for a while and then this has to be done and it's just rough. Or it can be a little silly and light hearted and have them laughing about it behind the scenes but that is not as compelling to me.

3. This one is stupid lmao but Seungkwan literally just does all that to be a brat and get Hansol’s attention, he’s being petty because he’s feeling neglected and does that to bait Hansol. It works.
