I did listen to I Wanna Be Yours, and I have to admit, the lyrics are interesting. There’s something dangerously intimate about turning simple things, the most ordinary objects into quiet symbols of devotion, into a confession of devotion. It’s not loud, but it lingers. Almost like someone trying to say, “I want to be close enough to be needed,” without saying it too plainly.
