I have various Fire 'N Ice related questions for you:
1. When did you first play Fire 'N Ice?
2. What's your rating of Fire 'N Ice from 1 to 10?
3. Who's your favorite boss in Fire 'N Ice? (mine is either the stegosaurus or the wizard that keeps showing up with a bunch of disguises)
4. When did you start working on the sound effects and songs for the Atari version of Fire 'N Ice?
5. Approximately how many hours have you played Fire 'N Ice for? (I'm guessing I've done ~50 hours, 38 on SRC, but don't count like 18 of those because they're my full game runs separated into individual worlds and thus not separate hours of playtime, then add like 15 hours for my first playthrough and playing around with the level editor before then, then add like 15 hours of practice and failed runs that didn't get submitted, and it makes ~50 hours.)
6. Would you rather fight 5 Druidle-sized Danas or 5 Dana-sized Druidles?
7. Do you regularly play Fire 'N Ice outside of testing it for converting the sound effects and music for the Atari version?
8. Would you ever consider speedrunning Fire 'N Ice?
1- I played for the first time many years ago out of curiosity, much better game compared to the first Solomon's Key.
2- This is a 10/10 game without hesitation!
3- I liked the quirky wizard, but I don't fully remember everything since I focused on the main levels as of lately.
4- I started working on the project around the month of June 2025, but I was already in the know of the project a few months earlier, but hadn't yet started working on it due to real life reasons.
5- I have no idea, honestly, lol I think I've spent well over 20 hours just from the Music and Sound Effects alone, as well as the bit of reverse engineering I did recently, and that amount of time doesn't include the time I did actually play the game properly in between and before then.
6- I think 5 Dana-sized Druidles would be reasonable, as long as I get to play as Dana for the fight, lol
7- See number 5's reply. Also, I might just do more casual plays eventually just for the sake of testing the Atari version further when it gets updated and help Madteam make it as faithful as possible.
8- Nah, probably not, I suck at speedrunning games in general, I'm here to have a good time :3
That said, I cannot reject the possibility of "speedrunning" if I get to play individual levels over and over for testing more stuff while working on Music and SFX for the Atari 8-bit port of the game.
