Haven't really hashed out the details but Adella is a social girl so I imagine that they met one time on the beach and got on well with each other. And Edra is indifferent, she knows he's Theras' assistant but at the same time he's also her girlfriend's friend so she lets him hang around, albeit reclusive with showing magical books in his presence.
