Bored Question Stuff!! What are your thoughts on "problematic media"
I loved seeing the general shift within the Rentrycord community when you’d get crucified for even MENTIONING anything problematic (Okegom, Nekopara) to then embracing these medias as things that make them seem more mature or edgy was very funny from an observational perspective .
I think personally, I was obsessed with the idea of being righteous and publicly condemned anything problematic (for YEARS)
I mean, I was publicly and proudly anti-proship in the Okegom fandom for so long back when I was 14-15(?) years old which is hilarious to me.
Nowadays, I kind of don’t care. I realised that a lot of arguments were just poorly reconstructed “violent video games cause crime” mentality.
I disengage and engage with media as I like. Having OCD makes it difficult to really intake anything without my disorder being fed thoughts freely but that will always happen regardless and with real people in my mind, which I find substituting with fiction as a much better alternative.
Problematic media? Don’t care
Some fans? I care
TCOAAL fans are annoying, their media is ugly so I just hate it

Nat is problematic media...? Lol just kidding. But to be honest, I really don't care much for it as long as it's harmless. Sometimes people like what they like, and I feel as long as they sre at least critical of said problematic media then i think it's fine... Of course there's obviously exceptions to this but I think for the most part people should like what they like as long as they know it's flaws if that makes sense
