This is the one i was talking abt and also tbh i found their post on tumblr and they literally got to stalking the author of mad summer until they found their real accounts and stuff and i don’t think that’s okay either. They have been told in comments on ao3 too to delete it and the reply was “if author will ever contact me to take it down i will” which is not how it goes. They ve been qrted by the bmjn community before and stuff and yeah !! Not taking it down ahytime

ok i want to ask for everyone's genuine opinion ^^
is posting an english translation of a well known korean fic ethical? i wanted to upload my eng trans of yeonbin dear my blue on ao3 (i saw someone do it for beomjun mad summer as well). but i didnt bc i thought it gave off the vibe that i was getting engagement for something i didnt write, especially since the author deleted the online copy and actually published it as a book
Hiiiii! In my opinion if you do not have the author’s permission, then my advice would be not to publish it! Even with giving credits, you should always ask for permission from the author. And if the author deleted it and published, i am sure they no longer want it linked to fanfiction. So, discuss it with them!! The mad summer thing is something we have repeatedly asked the person not to post it anymore since the author of mad summer has repeatedly stated that they do not wish for the fic to be posted anywhere, but the person refuses to take it down!!

Hello, I have a writing question. Imagine you have an idea for a fic and thought about the plot, you have an idea what will happen, who the ppl are, etc. When you go about your day (so NOT when you're sitting in front of your laptop/phone to work on it) do you "write" the story in your head? Bc I do, I think about the sentence structure, how I will phrase things, and if I don't like it I "edit" that in my head, change words or the word order. I'm sorry if I phrased that weirdly and it's hard to understand. My question is basically if you form proper sentences in your head when you're not writing in that moment. I was talking to a writer friend and she doesn't do that. Now I'm curious how common/uncommon that is, so I will send this question to a few writers I follow but I'm genuinely interested in every single ones writing and thought process so I would appreciate it if you could answer. Thank you! 🩵
Ooooh hi anonie!! Well, i think it kind of depends? I do get random phrases in my head (that i often time unfortunately forget by the time i get to writing(i should start actually writing them down)) but i would not say i write fic in my head like that? I mostly have concepts for them that i think about in depth. I don’t really plot things, so maybe that’s also why, and it usually works better for me if i just sit down maybe write a list of things i would like to maybe happen and then just yap into my doc
