Ohhh, that's a good question!! Honestly, the world building went crazy separately from the length? When I first started writing the fic, I thought that it would be a lot shorter (around 100k) but after I finished the first chapter, I realized that wasn't going to be the case at all, so I went ahead and wrote a huge outline! The outline ended up being about 9k words I think??

I feel like the main thing that was making the fic as long as it's ended up being were mainly two things: Chn's intense need to not hurt Flx and the side stories I've had going on with Mnsvng, Hyvnibini, and SevngIn?? When I started to write this fic, it was after I was just coming out of writing Bird in a Cage and its sequel. I felt so bad about writing dad Chn as a villain that I needed to make him the most loving and gentle version of himself, while still having the dead dove tag attached. As Flx would say, for me, it was very healing to write this sort of fic and to have that love be so true.

The world building was always going to go crazy but I kind of wish I did it differently, ngl LOL I didn't plan out any of the details of the world and often just made them up as needed. While I don't think this a terrible way to go about it, it is terribly inefficient, especially when you're trying to remember details of a specific god or what have you. The world building ended up going much crazier than I expected I think HAHAHA I couldn't stop myself from building upon idea after idea hahaha

And omfg?? Thank you so much?? That means a bunch to me!! I've thought that I've improved a fair bit too wahhh I hope that I can improve more though... I want hopefully for my prose to become a bit more elegant? Not anything too fancy, but something a bit prettier LOL
