Hi friend raccoon, forgive me if you've answered this before, can we claim our own prompts? For context, I'm thinking of just throwing all my ideas out there then if that's the end of claiming they're still not taken, I might pick one back up for myself.
Yes you can! If you are sure you want to claim the prompt yourself, you can use the self prompt option in ao3. You can look at the fest guide thread for details.

Hi! Some of my prompts from the first fest were taken and then dropped after a chapter or two at the beginning if the story ...would it be OK to resubmit those prompts?
You can repost unclaimed or dropped before submission prompts. If a fic has already been posted for the prompt, then you cannot submit it again.
