Since you like Zero Ranger I think Radiant Silvergun would actually be a neat choice, or possibly Ikaruga. Down Load on the PC Engine is junky and funny. And since the remake is eventually approaching you might not wanna touch Touhou 6 at this time but... Touhou 7 is good too. Bonus answer: It's Gradius July.
