Do you have any opinions on the Beach Boys? Seeing that they recently released an archival boxset that contains their most brass/synth-heavy work (a combination I'd like to see more of), I have a feeling that you might enjoy it!
My recommended tracks to listen to from that would be:

I like The Beach Boys!! I know they've taken a reputation hit in recent times in ways that are akin to why people got kind of tired of The Beatles for awhile there but I am always down to listen to them and I honestly think some of their more experimental stuff was so way ahead of its time that I'm glad people are being nicer about them than they used to be again. My favorite song of theirs is "Help Me, Rhonda", which gets in my head more than I'd like to admit. I always associate that song with college because the very tiny (there was room for like two tables and two chairs so they could also have room for one long table that had bagels wrapped in cellophane in a basket) cafeteria in the building I spent most of my time in used to play WCBS-FM and every time I'd go there for lunch the music would cycle through enough that there was a good 70-80% chance I'd get to hear that song in the rotation. That little cafeteria was a branch of the really big one our campus had but considering most of my classes were in this building I really appreciated how much more quiet and cozy it was.
