hello all,
what does music do for you? would you say it's a core aspect of your living, or who you are? do you feel the same way about music as you do the other artsālike films?
additionally, you should give me a song/a few songs/an album that you think shaped you, or is you, or whatever. that was there for you? maybe?
My opinion about music is quite long and it cant even be expressed through text i for one want to become an idol myself
Music in general is something extremely important to me its a powerful tool that surpasses reality itself and helps us as humans to communicate something that normal words cant and its of extreme importance to and i treasure it dearly
I think all forms of art have influenced me, some more than others. I'd say dance is the least influential, though I do appreciate the skill and artistry it takes. I think musical and visual arts have had the most impact on me. Music is quite important to me, not precisely the core of me but like a companion I can always rely on to make me feel something, discover something, or of sorts. I like finding myself or finding others through forms of art, music (like all forms of art) reflects aspects of life, so I try to find whatever music has me or the ones I care about within them. It's like a looking glass? I guess?
As for music that has changed me, I'd have to say September by Sparky Deathcap (it's my favourite song of all time). As for artists, Crywank is probably the top one that has always been there with me. Los Campesinos! is (one of) the first band I could actually say I'm a big fan of, as before I never actually had a favourite artist.
Unfortunately, the way I found out about those artists is because of... Err... W-lbur Soot and Lovejoy. I have to unfortunately admit that these two have shaped my tastes when I was a wee lad in puberty. I stopped liking them after W-lbur was revealed to be an abuser. Man.
i am not blaming this on my adhd but i barely listen to songs and when I do i just listen to the same ones over and over again, so it isnt a core aspect but i like music, just make seems like a fake fan so I only listen to catchy music. memories by maroon 5 shaped me a lot i dont know why
it's my life.. there's never a moment where i'm not thinking about a song/listening to music + listening to music has led me to make my own music. artists i feel like shaped me are (but not limited to): atols, hikkiep, kikuo, iglooghost, dennokop, siinamota, harumakigohan, coakira, t+pazolite, & silica gel
i enjoy other arts--- particularly visual arts & i believe it is on the same level as music to me. i don't watch movies that often (i need to though) but i can appreciate the artistry in the ones i have watched
wow okay this is a big one. music is something that keeps me alive, on a level deeper than i can bring out with words. as i write this, i'm listening to leech by the gazette (wearing my gazette shirt) and thinking about the state of the band. i dont really think about anything besides my favorite bands nowadays, and i guarantee i wont be thinking about much else for a while to come. the dir en grey album uroboros is probably one of the most influential pieces of media for me, with my favorite tracks being vinushka and glass skin. i would strongly recommend diru if you like punkier metal (their older stuff) and experimental metal (newer stuff + mortal downer) and i really hope you check them out! if you like a more electronic sound, but enjoy heavier drums and guitar with very unique vocals in terms of timbre, i would totally recommend kebyo! theyre my favorite band! sorry for the yap, have a good day!
my drugs i can't live without š¤¤š¤¤ they also heavily influence my personality and outlook in life, unhealthy as it may be. i've often seen music to have its sound equivalents to other forms of art like a translation of sorts, but i do think it's still a unique language in itself. there are elements in it that provide wonders you won't get to experience in other art forms, but i still appreciate those pretty equally in their own ways.
yorushika's a loser doesn't need an encore and nothing's new by rio romeo are some of the songs i heavily relate to and that my identity has also kind of been leaning on
music is everything to me! my entire heart and soul. i love it so dearly because it has always held a place in everything iāve loved. music is there everywhere for those with ears to listen. i also think that because i like music i like films too, because the two are deeply intertwined. whatās a film without a score?
scrawny, as you know, shaped me and who i want to be. but also, all of dssctveselfās killmeapril album. caviar noir did a lot of heavy lifting as well. hm. ill twink about this more
woah HI
i like music .. i love music im listening to nirvana rn its very funky andd yeah without music i think id be a very sad person.. its what affects me emotionally the deepest out of anything ! other arts dont make me as emotional as music, really
any song by herās, āhow i get myself killedā by indigo de souza, and any song by emei is what really shaped who i am today i think. also the genre nerdcore metal,,, ALSO ALSO any metal songs that have a 30 second segment of heavenly singing (like psychosocial by skillet and chop suey! by soad) ā¼ļø
music is everything to me. i think, second only to my best friend, music is the thing i adore most of all. i listen to music for an average of 15 hours a day.
